Moraira and surrounding

Moraira, the Saint-Tropez or Monaco from Spain, is only 2.15 hours flying from Amsterdam and is a unique place to enjoy sun, peace, beautiful scenery and the sparkling Mediterranean lifestyle.

Besides the ban on high-rise (4 storeys max) this village is characterized by narrow streets in the center, winding through challenging outdoor cafes and restaurants (some with famous stars in the Michelin guide), often with stunning views of the Mediterranean and ending at the beautiful marina and the small fishing port. Contrasts in optima forma.

Moraira is not ordinary, but clean, socially, cozy and even has its own tower also called the castle of Moraira. During high summer there is always a lovely breeze and because of that it's never excessively hot. There are 4 beaches in Moraira, which ensures plenty of space, ranging from private to popular beaches.

The pleasant and healthy climate is more pleasant for those in poor health or with bad respiratory or arthritis. This pearl of Spain is for people with their own life and is surrounded by many unique places such as Calpe, Xabia, Altea (Altea Hils), Denia (with trips to Mallorca or Ibiza) etc and not forgetting the great cities of Valencia or Alicante for a day of culture.

Moraira has many clubs, including a Belgian / Dutch with about 400 members, here the members play cards, having drinks, have Spanish lessons and organize all sorts of interesting trips such as blossomtrips in spring or with a group to a concert.

The most common nationalities are: British, Belgians, Dutch, Spanish, Swiss, French. For youth there are few clubs, because of this it's certainly not a boring elderly village, but the rest can always be found. The sporty man can also do a lot around and in Moraira, like: golf, horseriding, tennis, go-carts and walking along the sea.

For many, this is the most beautiful place on earth! This is partly due to the excellent services, from banking to medical care, such as Dutch dentists, GP (general practitioner) or surgery.
